I hope it helps.CyberPower has released an update to PowerPanel® Personal Windows and Mac. So….bottom line, in my case it was junk left over in windows that the Winzip utility cleaned up. I also have a CyberPower LX1500GU3 1500VA 900 watt UPS connected to my desktop and the software works great. I have tested two UPS ST425 models connected to the laptop and everything is working. Once I knew it was working I chose the upgrade icon in the software and upgraded it 2.4.8.1 and it installed without any problems. I also updated some drivers and there is some other stuff I can do later but my focus was cleaning up the registry file in windows so I could install this program.Īfter using the winzip utility I downloaded PowerPanel Personal (2.4.8) and installed it and tested it. Then I ran the “uninstall cleanup” function – it took a while as I had over 1000 Registry items to clean up but I just left it to run and it took about 20 minutes or so. So, I downloaded WinZip System Utilities Suite – it is free. There are only a couple of programs installed on it right now so the drive is very clean and windows has not had a chance to have its registry file messed with so I thought perhaps it’s “clutter in windows” on my laptop’s hard drive. I just replaced a hard drive last week on my desktop and CyberPower PowerPanel Personal installed clean and so did the upgrade. After 3 installs and uninstalls using windows utilities it just kept failing to even load. OK so I ran into the same issue today and here is how I got it resolved.
